Fiber Drop patch cord is used for fast connection of optical fiber signals between devices or between fiber optic patch panels, optical fiber terminal box, Fiber Distribution Box. Its outer sheath is usually made of  LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) material, which is flexible, lightweight and resistant to bending.

Operating temperature range
*  -40°C~+60°C

Application

* FTTH (Fiber to the Home): Connects fiber optic terminals in the wall to optical modems (ONTs).

* Data Center: Connects servers, switches, and storage devices, forming the backbone of high-speed data networks.

* LAN (Local Area Network): Connects network devices between different floors or buildings.

* Telecommunications Room: Provides cross-connections between distribution frames and equipment.

* CATV (Cable Television) and Video Transmission: Transmits high-definition video signals.

* Test and Measurement: Connects the device under test to test instruments (such as optical power meters and OTDRs).

Features

1, Low insertion and back reflection loss;
2, Good exchangeability;

Selection and Usage Considerations

1.Mode matching is paramount: Verify whether your device port and fiber type are single-mode or multimode.

2.Connector Type: Verify the connector type (LC, SC, FC, etc.) on your device port.

3.Length: Choose an appropriate length to avoid tangling with cables that are too long or stressing the device with cables that are too short.

4.Jacket Material: Choose LSZH jacketing for areas with poor ventilation or high security requirements.

5.APC vs. UPC: If your system is a PON or CATV system, you'll likely need a green APC patch cord; standard data networks typically use a blue UPC patch cord.
