MPO Insertion Loss and Return Loss Tester is a precision optical testing device specifically designed for high-density MPO/MTP fiber optic connectors (typically 12-core or 24-core). Its core function is to quickly and simultaneously test the insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) of all fiber optic channels in single-mode networks (such as data centers and metropolitan area networks), thereby verifying whether passive components such as patch cords and modules meet standards.
This insertion loss & return loss test system combines the optical device testing platform, the non-winding IL/RL testing module, and the multi-channel optical switch module into an integrated fiber optic testing solution to meet the demanding requirements of MPO device testing.
Feature
* Non-winding return loss testing with no need for matching gel
* Automatic dual-wavelength IL & RL testing for 8/12/16/24/32/48 channels
* Integrating sphere-based testing to meet MTP/MPO device requirements
* Expandable multi-channel JW18000 optical power meter to support MPO fan-out device testing; software supports polarity testing and custom cable sequencing
* Versatile test modes with strong system compatibility
* Supports aging monitoring applications
* Automatic detection and single-channel manual testing options
*Multiple data storage formats: Excel, database, and XML
* High-performance built-in PC for seamless compatibility and operation
* Optimized testing time and shortened test distance; IRL testing completes in 0.9 seconds per channel
* Supports link testing without switching connectors and measures return loss at both ends (A and B) simultaneously
* Supports polarity testing
Application
* MPO/MTP Patch Cord Production Quality Control:
Used on the factory production line to 100% inspect the insertion and return losses of every MPO patch cord, a crucial step in ensuring product quality.
* High-Speed Data Center (40G/100G/400G) Validation:
When deploying parallel optical technology networks such as 40G SR4, 100G PSM4, or 400G DR4 in large data centers, engineers use this equipment to conduct on-site certification tests on hundreds or thousands of MPO backbone optical cables to ensure the links meet the stringent requirements of high-speed transmission.
* Passive Optical Network (PON) Device Testing:
Used to test the multi-channel performance of optical splitters (such as the 1-to-12 PLC splitter you were previously interested in), optical modules, and other devices.
