Description
The fiber reflector is an optical fiber grating in the ceramic core of the standard SC/LC type connector to make it a special function of reflecting a band and does not affect the normal transmission of the communication band.
The fiber reflector is a low-cost specific rippling reflector installed on the side of the optical network unit (ONU). It can test the optical pulse (1550 +/- 2m) on the OTDR side of the optical fiber line terminal (OLT) terminal (OLT). Nearly 100%reflection is performed, and the operating wave band of the passive optical fiber network (PON) is transmitted normally. OTDR can determine whether the optical fiber line is normal by detecting the signal returned by the fiber grating reflector. When the reflex signal is lower than the normal value, the line loss is too large;
When the reflection value is 0, the fiber line is broken, so as to achieve real -time detection of optical fiber lines to achieve the purpose of timely maintenance.
