This is a dual-core plastic fiber optic cable, one of its key features being the ability to perform convenient path tracing and connectivity testing via visible light. The dual-core design provides a complete bidirectional communication channel, ideal for point-to-point link connections, such as connecting a sensor to a controller, or connecting two devices for data communication. It is well-suited for applications including: industrial networks in harsh environments; and short-range data links with high security requirements.

* Troubleshooting: Quickly determine if the fiber is broken or excessively bent. If the light disappears somewhere, that's where the fault lies.

* Path Tracing: Easily locate the path of a specific fiber in a large bundle of cables.

* Connectivity Testing: Simply shine a red light pen on one end and look at the other end to see if light comes out. Note: Never look at a fiber transmitting data, especially a laser! However, a dedicated red light pen used for tracing is safe.
